According to recent research, the UK could be facing a slug plague. Slugs are always a concern for organic gardeners, who can’t just reach for chemical controls – they’re bed for wildlife.
There’s lots of ideas for controlling slugs in this show, as well as some hair-raising slug facts.
And Madeleine is back to tell us all about elderberries, which are ripe at this time of year.
For more ideas about controlling slugs, UK gardeners can check out the amusing 50 ways to kill a slug or The little book of slugs, both of which make ideal gifts.
