Golden lemon balm

There’s lots of questions from listeners in episode 22 of the show. First up James tells us a little bit about his garden, and asks for help identifying a mystery plant.

Then Emma talks about how easy to grow lemon balm, and what you can use it for once it is established in your garden.

Patrick from Bifurcated Carrots gives us the first installment of the history of heirloom vegetables.

And the show concludes with a round up of emails from listeners, including questions on sourcing Bokashi bran in the US and how to deal with ants and spotted cucumber beetles.

  1. Great info – I am going to grow some lemon balm; I cold use all of the properties, especially the memory!

I don’t know if it’s my player but I could only hear Patrick’s beginning and end, the rest is quiet (about 3-4 minutes).

Another great podcast – thanks Emma!

  2. You’re right, Karen. There was a problem with the mp3 file – a gremlin in the machine! I’ve uploaded a new copy so that everyone can hear what Patrick has to say.

    Thanks for spotting the problem!

  3. Great Show, really enjoyed the segment with Patrick.

Thank you finally for a way to enjoy my lemon balm. The one I have is large and was here when we moved in. I was not sure what to do about it.

Keep up the great work, I enjoy listening in the car as I eat my lunch down by the river and dream of getting home and into the back yard.

Also, thank you for adding me to your links.
